Dear OBE families,

Welcome to our 2nd week of April. We have a lot going on the during these last three months of school. Please take a look at the information below.

-The Jogathon is On! The Biggest Annual Fundraising Event is happening on April 22nd, and we are excited to get it started. It will happen on campus during school hours, so all kids in attendance that day can participate. 

First things First! Visit this website to register your student(s) and start earning pledges. Be sure to register and send 5 emails by Monday, 4/11 by midnight to be eligible for the first prize.

-Our In-Person Spring Book Fair is coming Monday, May 2 - Friday, May 6. Mark your calendars for the first week of May and start browsing today to find out which books your students want for some fun Summer reading! Sharon Rubalcava, Program Manager in the Counseling and Guidance department will join our meeting to discuss the California Healthy Kids Survey. This survey, along with the ones given to parents and staff, is used to improve student academic performance and social-emotional, behavioral, and physical health of all youth.The survey gathers information on developmental supports provided to youth; school connectedness and barriers to learning. Learn more about the surveys, why the District uses them and how the data is used.

At this meeting we will also put a call out to parents that would like to become of member of the Foundation board. If you have questions about this please email Laura Choukri directly at [email protected].
